So I was not sure if I should give this 3 or 4 stars. I was not blown away, but the food was ok. Menu items we tried that had fake meat were the chorizo burrito my friend had, and it was pretty good, and the tamal con mole, which was ok! The corn and mushroom empanadas were decent. Service was great and our server explained everything and was patient with all of our questions. The owner or manager came by to check on us and we just felt very welcome here. This was my first vegan experience and as an omnivore, it was alright. I look forward to more experiences like this.

Went here a couple of years ago with a friend. Staff were nice, the food was honestly super tasty and that bathroom sink was BEAUTIFUL. But the portions were lowkey kinda small.

Absolute gem! The service was quick and polite. They have both indoor and outdoor seating plus restrooms. The food was delicious! We ordered tacos to share. It didn't disappoint. The mushroom one was my favorite with the spicy sauce. The jackfruit was also really good. Coming from someone who doesn't like chorizo, the soyrizo was really good.

I have ordered take out and dined in here on many occasions. The service is always very good, the food is always fresh, I am happy to say that I am never disappointed. I will say that you do need to eat your tacos while they're fresh and steamy, don't wait / let it sit most especially if you get it delivered. Eat it now! I would want the fish taco be what everyone eats at my funeral because I literally dance every time my taste buds think of it.

A great alternative whether you're vegan, vegetarian or even meat lovers (you won't miss the real thing). The East Village location has a nice bohemian feel with a great energy space and excellent service. Menu was pretty large and there's something for everyone.

Jajaja mexicana 7.5/10 Ambience: 9/10 very colorful, trendy yet clsssy vibes Drinks: 6/10 a bit too weak despite being tequila based. We felt like we were drinking juice. The matcha y coconut was supposed to be their best one, but I honestly don't even remember the taste. I believe it was bitter. Service: 9/10 Friendly and fast! They also explained all the vegan options. Food: 8/10 I believe out of all the vegan restaurants I went to this had food that felt the most flavorful and whole. By whole I mean that there is little to no use of meat replacements or extremely processed food. I often feel as if many vegan restaurants focus on making their food taste like meat rather than enjoying the flavors that vegetables have to offer. Jajaja Mexicana was a place that really made a great effort to use plants and vegetables to create a whole meal. I liked the jackfruit tacos the most! The buffalo tacos were not my style because it didn't seem as creative, but if you like fried this would be for you. The queso was really good! Tasted like actual queso, but less sharp. Overall: 8/10 Drinks could be better, but for a vegan restaurant this was great. Must go for anyone who is veg or vegan!

4.5, rounding to 5. Honestly, this is probably the best vegan place I've had. And I love meat. The portions are super large. I got the chicken burrito, which if you didn't tell me was vegan I would have believed it. The Tacos Tazon bowl is also massive, you won't leave hungry for sure. I really like the dim lighting inside -- there are some hip hanging lights and light wood all around the restaurant. My only qualm is that the music is REALLY loud (but could be good for a night out, lots of Bad Bunny).

What an amazing meal! I have to be honest, I've been eyeing this place for years, so my expectations were high, and I am happy to report exceeded! My partner and I loved the beet empanada and nachos to start. My main was the chicken tacos and we finished with the yummiest key lime pie. The service was smooth and ambiance was cool and upbeat. Highly recommend for a date night or meal with a friend.

Nachos and tacos and margaritas...oh my! AND it's all vegan! Jajaja has a few locations throughout the city and they all seem to have similar if not the same menu items. This place makes a GOOD margarita, and just one is enough to get you feeling tipsy. Of course, you never want to skip their famous nachos: they are an absolute must! They have a lot of taco options, but the non-debatable best one is the Buffalo Cauliflower (honestly buffalo cauliflower is one of my favorite dishes anyways, and it is done so well here). The other tacos on the menu are average to me, but don't let that deter you from branching out. Other favorite menu items are the Street Corn and the Mole Tamale...but whatever you do, GET THE NACHOS.
